A poetic and humorous dance theater performance by Grus Grus Teatteri, uniquely tailored for Åbo Svenska Teater’s café Tiljan.

Ihminen on päivittäin tekemisissä esineiden, kuten puhelimien, kahvinkeittimien, tuolien ja ovien kanssa. Osa näistä ovat mukavia ja avuliaita tyyppejä, toiset taas saattavat olla ärsyttäviä tai jopa manipuloivia. Esityksessä ryhmä tanssijoita ja laulajia antaa äänen ja ruumiin arjen esineille. Tervetuloa elävään Elohuoneeseemme!

The choreographic material is inspired by Bruno Latour’s actor-network theory.
During the creative process, the public is also invited to participate by exploring and sharing their own relationships with everyday objects.

Welcome on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00 for a joint afterwork event hosted by Manifesti and Grus Grus Theatre’s production Elohuone! Here, we’ll hang out and chat in a relaxed atmosphere with familiar faces, strangers, and objects alike. Grus Grus Theatre’s dramaturg Marja Kangas will lead simple, fun exercises to get the conversation flowing. Bring along an object that fits in your pocket or bag, buy yourself a drink at Tehdas Teatteris bar, and enjoy free snacks. Great company together with people and objects guaranteed! 
 
Elohuone Afterwork is part of the audience participation work for Grus Grus Theatre's autumn premiere production, Elohuone. Directed by Sandrina Lindgren , this dance theatre performance explores what would happen if the work done by objects were replaced by human labour. 
How do objects shape our behavior and our lives? This afterwork event is open to everyone interested in people, objects, and art!

Tervetuloa 30.9.2026 Grus Grus Teaterin ja Åbo Svenska Teaterin järjestämille esinetreffeille. Treffeilä jutustellaan rennosti tuttujen ja tuntemattomien ihmisten ja esineiden kanssa. Pääset näkemään maistiaisia uudesta tanssiteatteriesityksestä sekä kuulet miniluennon esityksen taustasta.
 
Elohuoneen dramaturgi Marja Kangas ohjaa helppoja tehtäviä, joiden avulla keskustelu pääsee käyntiin. Nappaa itsellesi omakustanteinen juoma Café Tiljanista, nauti ilmaisia naposteltavia. Lupaamme yhteiselosa ihmisten kanssa!
